1.3 Scholarship Program

The Myers & Briggs Foundation is proud to offer graduate students and professors the opportunity to apply for a competitive scholarship to attend the MBTI^® Certification Program at a reduced cost. The scholarship program was created to grow the next generation of personality type experts and to foster professional use and application of the MBTI system in a variety of fields. Those students and professors interested in conducting research with the MBTI instrument should first review the Research Grant Program.

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator^® instrument is administered by trained professionals all over the world and is the most widely used personality assessment of its kind. It is based on well-researched and validated personality theory with proven applications in a variety of fields, including personal and professional development, organizational development, education, personal coaching for executives and managers, leadership development and team building, and counseling for individuals and families.

For Professors:

The scholarship for the MBTI^® Certification Program is for professors with a PhD (U.S. residents only) currently employed in an accredited U.S. university. Commonly accepted applicants for scholarships teach in human enterprise-related fields, such as psychology, human resources, education, organizational development, or counseling.

If accepted, instructions will be sent to you on how to register for either a virtual or in-person instructor-led training program offered by Myers & Briggs Foundation. You must complete the training within one year of your acceptance into the program.

The scholarship award reduces the cost of the MBTI Certification Program. If attending an in-person training, travel expenses are to be covered by the professor.

You will be notified of the status of your application within 10 business days.
